The Traxdata Story

2001
RITEK Corporation decides to market the Traxdata brand throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Conrexx Technology B.V. (RITEK Europe) is given exclusive rights to distribute products under the Traxdata brand name throughout this region. The product portfolio consists of CD and DVD media and accessories.

2002
Flash memory products and compatible ink cartridges are added to the Traxdata portfolio and Traxdata introduces the Your Digital Life! concept. From now on, the Traxdata portfolio is focussed on offering customers all the products they would need to live their digital life to the full.

November sees Traxdata become the first brand in Europe to market DVD-R 4X media.

2003 
Traxdata starts to become one of the leading brands in CD and DVD media and as a RITEK brand Traxdata benefits from the Research & Development being conducted by the largest manufacturer of optical storage media in the world.

December sees Traxdata make an incredible technology leap by introducing DVD+R 8x media enabling consumers to record at speeds twice as fast as ever before. The brand leaves competitors behind in the race to meet consumer demands.

2004
Traxdata is now positioned as the World Leader in Quality, Technology and Innovation. The brand is the first to bring breakthrough technology to the market and the first to offer consumers DVD-R 8x, DVD-R 16x, DVD+R 16x and DVD+R Double Layer media.
 
Traxdata also expands its Flash Memory Range as it introduces high capacity CompactFlash™, SecureDigital™ and MultiMediaCard™ memory cards together with a range of card readers, MP3 players and the innovative and groundbreaking EZ Drive 2.0 USB storage device.

2005
By adding a large number of new optical media products to its range, Traxdata strengthens its reputation as a leader in the media storage industry and grows its European market share by storm.

Besides, Traxdata also strengthens the reputation of its flash memory range by winning 6 awards in the Computer Bild Flash Memory Test and by adding new models to its range of USB Flash Drives.

2006
In September 2006 Traxdata introduces HD DVD-R media to the European market, heralding the start of a new era in optical storage media.

In the 2nd half of the year Traxdata gets together with Ubisoft to support the launch of Ubisoft's eagerly awaited Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent™ game. Together they create an exclusive special editions game just for purchasers of the strikingly packaged Traxdata Splinter Cell Double Agent™ EZ Drive™ 1GB USB Stick and DVD-/+R 16x cake 25 products.

In 2006 Traxdata also expands its flash memory range as it introduces SDHC memory cards as well as the EZ Drive™ LaserPointer, one of the first USB drives that allows users to take advantage of the new Windows ReadyBoost™ technology.

2007
In first months of 2007 Traxdata adds 2X Recordable and Rewritable Blu-ray media to its optical media assortment and in September it further expands its range as it introduces Double Sided DVD-R 8X media to the European market.

In the middle of 2007 Traxdata adds the groundbreaking Yego to its range, a funky 2GB USB flash drive that incorporates a two-port USB hub.
